Monday evening, 11/21/2022, JCUA's 20" HDPE sewer force main located on Hanshaw Road in Ocean Springs was apparently damaged by a Geotechnical Engineering Firm that was doing some investigative boring in the area.

JCUA crews have performed emergency repair measures to minimize the immediate impacts from this rupture and are attempting to temporarily bypass the sewer lines in this area. Some of these efforts will not be located on Hanshaw Road, but as soon as the emergency measures are completed, JCUA will begin the process of performing the permanent repairs.
